Electromagnetism Bench
A browser simulation for exploring relationships between magnets, coils, and induced voltage in a hands-on virtual lab bench.
- Ages Older children and teenagers (editorial estimate)
- Interactive simulation

What kids actually do
Learners manipulate elements of a simulated electromagnetic setup—such as moving magnets relative to coils—and watch displayed values change.
They can try different arrangements to see how the simulation responds, similar to a simplified lab bench.
We identified and reviewed the public demo; we have not independently validated whether every behavior matches real-world physics.
What kids can learn
These are learning areas the project is designed to support—not guaranteed outcomes.
- Exploring electromagnetic induction concepts
- Observing relationships between magnets and electrical measurements
- Learning through experimentation in a virtual setup
- Building intuition before formal physics coursework
Why it's interesting
Electromagnetism powers motors, generators, and countless devices. A visual bench lets curious students poke at the ideas before they meet the full math in a textbook.
What parents should know
Treat this as an exploratory visualization, not a complete physics curriculum. Scientific behavior has not been independently validated by our team. Younger children may need an adult to explain what the dials and diagrams represent.
